A few manuscript notes in brown ink in between lines of text and in margins of commentary with brackets and markings, most of them illegible from washing and bleaching of leaves; inscription at head of recto of back free endpaper "xpt.Bxbr[?]" Inscription on title page: "Collegii Paris[ii] Societatis Iesu"; inscription at head of leaf a2r, cropped and partially illegible "[...?] Collegij [...?] Ad usum Rhetorum" and below "Dom. prof. Paris. Soctis Iesu"; other inscriptions on t.p. (about authorship of annotations?) and inscription at foot of leaf q4r, illegible from washing of leaves. Later marbled calf binding, gold tooled with arms of the Duke of Sutherland. Bookplate "The Marquis of Stafford" [Franks 12386] (with shelfmark N.12.4 pencilled on upper left corner) and arms of the 1st Duke of Sutherland gold tooled on back cover with wyvern crest on front cover (no. 1090 in the Sotheby sale catalog of the Sutherland library, Nov. 1906); bookplate of E.
