Lacks leaves k2 and k3. Initials decorated in colors on leaves b1r (9 lines) and r5r (7 lines); other main initials in blue paint with red penwork infill; smaller initials and paragraph marks provided in red throughout the book with underlining of titles. A few manuscript notes in brown ink, and numerous "Nota" and trefoil markings. Contemporary calf binding on wooden boards, blind tooled with stamps designated in Schwenke-Schunke as "Hildesheim Christuskopf" (Lamm 42, Pelikan 16, Hirsch 68, Hahn 23/4, Hertz 110, and Schrift 121); evidence of 5 bosses and 2 clasps catching on front cover; evidence of a few finding tabs; previously rebacked and mended several times; repaired; in a tailored box. Ownership inscriptions on first leaf "liber mei Iohẽs Haeke de Ruẽmũd.", and "Iste lib[er] p[er]tin[et] [con]ue[n]tui frm̃ s[anc]t[a]e cr[ucis] i[n] Rur[em]unda ad s[anc]tum̃ Corneliu[m] ex pia dona[tione] vidu[alis?] Dni. io. Haeck artiu[m] libraliu[m] mgri. medicinarũq[ue] licenciati exp[er]tissi ..."; lower pt. of 1st leaf (bearing provenance?) has been cut off and replaced; another inscription on leaf a2r "Cruciferorum Ruremũd[ae]"; bookplate of Francis Hopkinson and his notes on front endpaper locating the printing in Basel; also a bookplate with motto "Arise.
