"The insertion in the binding is from a portion of the tree formerly in the possession of the widow of the celebrated David Garrick, who presented the same to George the Fourth, and for whom sundry articles were made by Rundell & Bridge, and small pieces of which were converted into loving momentoes [sic] by the several recipients, A. Evors." Inscription: "A. Evors to his old servant and friend, Caroline Meager, Xmas 1878." Bound in calf with filleting and marbled endpapers; blind and gilt-tooled design frame inlaid strip of wood and copper frame with inscription: "Part of the mulberry tree planted by Wm. Shakspeare"; back cover with same tooling framing "Alexr. Evors" in gilt.
