The remainder of the volume contains farm and estate accounts begun shortly after the elder Newport's death in 1705, listing frequent sale prices for crops (such as "horsh hay" and hops) and goods (sugar, salt, white bread; also shoes and cloth), wages to workmen (thrashers, mowers, thatchers, etc.), and regular payments to "my Mother Newport." Also includes payments for Land Tax and Window Tax (leaf 14), for paper (leaf 19), to the poor of "the two Handlys [sic]" and of Eastham (leaves 21), "to Mr Wooly for ingreadiens for to make dye + drink" (leaf 26), and "to the Schoolmaster for my son 6 weeks Teaching" (leaf 31).
