Scope and content
Blank pages and parts of pages have been used for personal and estate accounts, 1658-1676; 1695-1702. The author seems to have lived in Yorkshire, possibly near Sand Hutton, and may have been a Waite. He mentions his brothers Raynes Waite and H. Waite and other members of the family. Under 1674, when in London, he paid for a boat hire to go and see T. Waite, lent him some money and then gave something to the prisoners; the entry may refer to the regicide, Thomas Waite. Also, a few pharmaceutical recipes.
