In 18th cent. brown sheep; gilt tooling on spine; gold-tooled figure of a woman dressed in a gown tooled with gilt lines and pointille circles and dots and quatrefoil flowers. On the back cover is the figure of a naked woman holding a robe tooled with hundreds of gilt dots. Both figures have the monograms CSE. A note by the binder or former owner is written on recto of the first fly leaf: "On the cover I have shown the Priest tempted by dressed & undressed women. C. S. Stewart. London Feb. 7, 1917."
