Scope and content
Manuscript notebook of drawings and synopses of world literature with dated criticism from a tutor. Includes synopses and critical observations of Shakespeare's Hamlet (f. 8v), Romeo & Juliet (f. 9), King John (f. 9v), Merchant of Venice (f. 14v), Othello (f. 15v), King Lear (f. 16v), As You Like It (f. 22), and Merry Wives of Windsor (f. 23). Most entries are accompanied by colored drawings. Romanian and other European authors are also well represented.
