Note
Staffordshire pottery double figure of Charlotte and Susan Cushman as Romeo and Juliet. Polychrome and gold decorated pair standing with their arms entwined. Juliet is wearing a cote-hardie with girdle and Romeo is wearing a kilt and jerkin with hose. Quotation at base, "Jul. O think'st thou we shall ever meet again? / Rom. I doubt it not; and all these woes shall serve / For sweet discourses in our time to come".
