Actually part 2 of the Instauratio, called the Novum organum. The title page is engraved and signed: Sim: Pass: sculp:. The first leaf is blank. "Parasceue, ad historiam naturalem, et experimentalem" has divisional title and separate pagination and register. A reissue of the first edition; e3 is cancelled, and previously blank e4 is printed with errata and a colophon omitting Norton's name. In some copies e4r is numbered 37; in others it is unnumbered. Signatures: pi² [par.]⁴ A-C⁶ D-2S⁴ 2T⁶ a-d⁴ e⁴(-e3).
