Inscription on 3C6v: Frances Wolfresston her bouk geven her by her motherilaw Mary Wolfreston. Contemporary manuscript epigram on X4v: "An epigraphe vppon the death of the right excellent poet Syr Geffrey Chaucer, made by Timothe Kendall ... at Haslington Hall in Chesshire 1578. Disce {vivere pari mori} TK. Another contemporary manuscript epigram by "Dorothe Egerton" on 2A1v; autographs: "T. Wolfreston anno D[omi]no 1717;" "J.
