Black goatskin binding with gilt and painted silver decoration of an all-over design of drawer-handle tools, volutes, stars, dots, and fleurons and with a roll and pin-head single fillet border; paneled and decoration spine dated '1638' at foot. Binding attributed to "Queen's Binder A" (William Nott?). T.p. repaired. Etched portrait of Sibbes pasted to front endpaper. Provenance: Henry Benjamin Wheatley (1838-1917); Harmsworth copy
